Cheap Fridges: Sweetening an Already Sweet Deal

Every household has to have a refrigerator.  Problem is, not everyone has enough cash to splurge on the important storage device.  It isn’t exactly the cheapest home appliance available; couple it with its power consumption, which will certainly reflect on your electric bill.  Fortunately, the market is peppered with cheap fridges.  Anyone with a decent budget can afford one, even a cheap dorm fridge.  The physical and online markets are your prime resources for such.

Cheap Fridges for Sale

Reputable fridge companies usually offer higher-priced items, so, if you don’t have enough cash, purchasing a brand new unit from them isn’t really advisable. However, retail and appliance stores, in an effort to attract more customers, hold store sales on occasion.  The prices of sold goods are reduced by 10 – 70%, making what used to be expensive fridges quite affordable.

Apart from store sales, the products made by lesser known brands are cheap, at least more affordable than reputable fridges.  The question of quality and durability are immediately raised for such, but some brands, in truth, are nearly as good as their more popular counterparts.  You’ll get all the features you’re looking for in a refrigerator for a fraction of the price.  Just devote some time for research, since there are many low quality cheap mini fridges for sale.

Cheap Mini Fridges for Sale

Cheap mini fridges, generally, are easier to find than a cheap fridge, in a sense that they are cheaper to begin with.  So, slashing a little on their selling price means a lot for consumers.  You can bank on a store sale, better yet, slightly used items to get discounted rates.  The number of sellers is surprisingly many.  The mini fridge, come to think of it, is more of a luxury item than an item of need, so people in need of cash won’t have a lot of qualms disposing of their units.

Anyone who has a mini fridge is a potential seller, even those who are not planning to sell their fridges.  Just dangle a decent offer, and some of them might concur.  However, if you want a truckload of used mini fridge sellers, the internet is the best place to find them.  Auction sites, selling forums and other selling portals are scattered all over the web.  A few Google searches should give you an endless supply of options.

Cheap Mini Fridge Magnets

Fridge magnets are normally cheap, but if you don’t want to spend extra, just go for the plastic ones.  Magnets made of stuffed textile require more effort in production, hence the slightly higher prices.  Plastic magnets are very abundant.  A visit to the department store should take care of your search.

Used Fridges

Cheap fridges don’t necessarily have to be made by unknown brands.  You can settle for a slightly used unit, and, with the durability of reputable refrigerators, a little use won’t contribute much to wear and tear.  This way, performance and durability won’t be sacrificed.  Best of all, the rates are really low, especially for sellers who are in dire need for cash.  In finding a used fridge, some sellers would even toss in freebies and other goodies, to reel in potential buyers.  You, as a consumer, get to savor the juiciest deals presented.

Maximizing a Good Deal

The rates of cheap small fridges (or any fridge size for that matter) can be lowered with a little power play, as a consumer.  If there are hordes of sellers available, inform those that present the sweetest offers about the lower prices given by other sellers.  This will cause them to come up with even better offers.  From there, you can sneak in the line “So, what’s your last price?” You’ll eventually end up with a cheap small fridge for a very low price.

Damaged Fridges are sometimes Okay

Sometimes you don’t really need to buy cheap fridge in order to procure one.  Some people have a damaged fridge in their garage.  As long as the damage isn’t extensive, it can be repaired and restored back to working condition.  Repairs may be expensive, but the total expenses are nowhere near the amount of a new fridge, even cheap ones.  Just assess the damage, with the help of an electrician. If repairs are too expensive, you can sell some of the components to manufacturers and/or junk shops.  You’ll get added income in the process.

The Auction Battle for a Cheap Dorm Fridge

Auction sites may provide the cheapest items, but they are also vicious battlegrounds for bidders/consumers.  A lot of people cheat their way into getting a cheap fridge by installing bidding bots on their computers. Report the sneaky cheats to the webmasters via email.  Once they’re accounts have been banned, install a bidding bot of your own to nab the sweetest deal on eBay or any auction site.  Yes, this strategy is a bit dirty, but, as the old adage goes, nice guys finish last.
